No body, no parole
Under a State Coalition government convicted murderers will not be eligible for release on parole unless they have provided police with the details of where the body of their victim is located.
A convicted murderer cannot claim to be remorseful or rehabilitated if they are not prepared to give closure to the family and friends of their victim.
Families have a right to bury their loved one and to say good bye.
That’s why a Liberal government will put the rights of victims and their families at the centre of decision making for the criminal justice system.
It is the duty of our government to keep us safe, but under Daniel Andrews, crime is up and police numbers are being cut. Protecting Victorians from harm will always be the Coalition’s number one priority.
