7NEWS Young Achiever Awards now open
Nominations for the 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards are now open to showcase the achievements of young Victorians, and pay tribute to their vision, innovation and commitment to contributing to their community.
State Liberal Member for Eildon, Cindy McLeish said this is a great opportunity to recognise young people in the community who are making a positive difference across several categories.
Ms McLeish said, “We have so many young people in the area who are inspiring and leading the community in positive ways. This award is a wonderful way to identify those people and say thanks for their hard work.”
Nominations are open for categories including:
Saward Dawson Community Service and Social Impact Award
The Victorian Government Group Achievement in the Community Award
First National Real Estate Leadership Award
Kangan Institute Inspirational TAFE Student Award
The Bridge Create Change Award
IKON Services Environmental Sustainability Award
Luminary Tech Visionary Award
Generation Us Career Achievement Award
Yarn Strong Sista Indigenous Achievement Award
National Protective Services Safety and Wellbeing in the Workplace Award
Qoin Small Business Achiever Award
Danmark Online Achievement Award
Ms McLeish continues, “Category winners will each receive $2,000 in prizes and one of the category winners will be chosen as the 2022 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year and will receive a state trophy.”

The Young Achiever Awards began in 2012 with the purpose to acknowledge, encourage and most importantly promote the positive achievements of all young people up to and including 29 years of age.
Nominations close Tuesday 14th December 2021.
