Grants for safer communities


Liberal Member for Eildon Cindy McLeish is pleased to advise applications for Community Safety Infrastructure Grants are now open.

Ms McLeish encourages not-for-profit community organisations and Councils to apply for a grant to install and upgrade security measures in community spaces. Sporting clubs, community centres, places of worship and councils can use this initiative to install CCTV, fencing, security alarm systems or lighting for example, to improve the safety standards of their space.

Ms McLeish said, “Community safety is always a concern for residents and businesses alike.”

“I receive suggestions from the community about safety implementations they would like in their town and this is the perfect opportunity to make it happen.”

“I know this grant will be welcomed by quite a number of organisations in the region, keen to make improvements.”

The Community Safety Infrastructure Grants program offers between $25,000 and $500,000 funding for instalment of various safety infrastructure and needed upgrades to building or public space.
