Petition launched for Mansfield Secondary

State Member for Eildon Cindy McLeish MP has launched a petition calling on the Andrews Labor Government to fully fund the modernisation of Mansfield Secondary College.

“A great education gives our kids opportunity and the chance to choose their own future. Our schools do a terrific job teaching our kids, but that shouldn’t be in second rate buildings.”

“To continue providing students a great education in our region, the Victorian Government must provide funds to complete the modernisation of Mansfield Secondary College,” Ms McLeish said.

Ms McLeish said Mansfield Shire residents should receive their petition in the mail during the week 11 – 15 December.

“I’m asking everyone in our community to get behind this cause by signing their petition and posting it back to my office using the reply paid card.”

“Mansfield is a great place to live and when this community works together it can achieve anything. I know with the whole community behind the school’s campaign for funding we will achieve this much needed outcome,” Ms McLeish said.

Ms McLeish concluded saying she hoped to table the petition when Parliament resumes in 2018.

“If I am able to present a petition to Parliament with not just hundreds, but thousands of signatures, I am certain that any government will listen to Mansfield.”
